American Idol Season 1

The first season of American Idol - this is where it all started - the birth of the most watched tv show. It's interesting to note that Fox initially rejected the show. But they did end up buying the show and airing it, which brought us the american idol we have today!

Perhaps because it's the first show, I think it was the most memorable show over all, of all seasons. Of course, it was probably the fact that as the first show, you didn't know what to expect and it was just all so new and exciting. Where as in the later shows it's a bit less exciting. Of course you still have great, and not so great singers performing, which is the main point of the show, but the side things, like Simon's comments aren't as amusing as they were the first show. Sure he's still funny, but at this point it's basically expected, as such when Simon makes a nasty comment about one of the singers, you just can't help but feel "there he goes again"

Anyway, the first season of american idol brought us some great singers and stars. From Kelly Clarkson to Justin Guarini, from Nikki McKibbin to Tamyra Gray. And of course, all the drama and suspense!
